Eucharistic Ministers
Being a Eucharistic Minister makes you a part of the most intimate moment in the liturgy by distributing the Eucharist to the Body of Christ, His Church. A St. James parishioner who aspires to this ministry must regularly share in the Eucharist, be Confirmed and committed to our faith (a teen enrolled in the Confirmation program may be an EM). The Minister usually joins a Mass team which distributes the Eucharist every other week, usually at his or her regular mass. Prospective Ministers go through a deanery training session, plus another session at St. James. They are held in the spring and fall at a deanery parish.
