Mission Statement
As Disciples of Jesus Christ, we are committed to building the Saint James Community by enhancing our current ministries and encouraging all to share their gifts.
Mass is the center of our spiritual lives, and our ministries are the call to action we are all directed to perform. To attract participation in our ministries and ensure their ongoing success, our ministries must be welcoming, accessible, well-organized, clear in purpose, well trained, well intended and accountable.
The Stewardship Council has begun to implement a formal structure for the operation of all ministries. A number of objectives will then be met. It will provide a mechanism for collecting current contact information to be shared with other ministries and new members seeking involvement. It will enable new leadership to transition easily by providing an operating "manual". It will promote coordination between ministries and parish staff and convey respect to volunteers by offering an efficient, well-conceived service platform. And, it will enable the Pastoral Staff to institute any necessary controls and provide an opportunity to establish consistent spiritual messaging to parishioners and recipients touched by our outreach.
