SPREAD
St. James is one of the few area parishes that provide Special Religious Education to children with developmental disabilities. SPRED has been active at St. James since 1968 and is an archdiocesan program. We provide religious education to three separate age groups (6-10, 11-16 & 17-21). Students receive 15 weeks of class-time including special events and preparation for the sacraments. We are always in need of adult catechists...many of our teachers must work one-on-one with the students. No special qualifications/education is needed....just a loving and willing heart and your faith in God and your community.
