Attend the “Find Your Greatness” event presented by Dr. Allen Hunt and you will  discover 4 simple habits that will radically transform your life and re-energize our parish; create a personal plan that will help you apply the 4 habits to your life; learn the difference between disengaged Catholics and highly engaged Catholics. We will offer Multi-Parish Reconciliation during Lent on four consecutive days during the month of April. Each service contains the same components, and you may attend at any of the five parishes listed below:

Mon. April 8 –Our Lady of the Wayside –7:30pm
Tues. April 9 –St. Edna -3:00pm
Tues. April 9 –St. Mary, Buffalo Grove -7:30pm
Wed. April 10 –St. James 7:30pm
Thurs. April 11 –St. Colette 7:30pm -Spanish available

Support St. James Youth this Lent at the Knights of Columbus Fish Fry on April 12th starting at 5:30pm. Check out the opportunities for teens at for more information about Bible Studies, Living Station and mission trips

April 15th – Religious Education and Vacation Bible School Registration begins. Click here for Religious Education website page and Vacation Bible School (VBS). VBS is still looking for volunteers. Please consider joining the volunteer crew by the email link here.

Reconciliation will be at St. James on Mon., April 15, Tues. April 16, and Wed. April 17, of Holy week at 7:00pm.

Please be aware of the new restrictions on Arlington Heights Rd.

Effective April 22nd, an ordinance prohibiting parking on Arlington Heights Rd. was passed by the Village of Arlington Heights. St. James fully supports this ordinance for the safety of all our parishioners and residents of the village. Our new parking lot has increased to handle the loss of these spots.

Anyone parking on Arlington Heights Rd. after April 22nd will be subject to a fine.



April 25/26 the Sacrament of Confirmation will be received our 8th grade students.

 April 28th Join us to celebrate the Feast of Divine Mercy at St. James starting at 1:30 with the Procession and veneration of the image Exposition of The Blessed Sacrament; Talk by Fr Derek Ho; silent reflection, praise and worship, Sacrament of Reconciliation; the Chaplet of Divine Mercy based on the Passion Meditation from the diary of St. Faustina and Benediction. 

April 22nd– St James Theatre productions presents Shrek The Musical and auditions for the summer musical will be April 22 & 24. See link for available appointment slots and details.

Our St. James Perpetual Adoration Chapel will be open June 9. A Registered Adorer makes a promise to spend 1 hour each week with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament. Click here for more information.

As we celebrate the Resurrection of Our Lord at Easter time, we invite you to join us in prayer and thanksgiving.  We’re happy to have you with us, and we wish you a blessed Easter!
