The Women of St. James (WOSJ) and other members of the parish provided needed supplies to the residents of Heart’s Place, a new 18-unit development in Arlington Heights providing permanent supportive housing for people with disabilities. Led by parishioner Tracy Sherva  the WOSJ coordinated a gift gathering and collected enough supplies so that each resident received a large gift basket of essentials for their new home when they moved in. Melissa Bertram, another WOSJ member, created artwork that will be hung in the development. About 100 people, including members of WOSJ, attended a ribbon cutting for Heart’s Place in September.
