Dear St. James Parishioners,

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God believe also in me.” John 14:1

During this unprecedented time of uncertainty due to the COVID19 situation, I am writing to let you know that St. James Parish is available for support. We are offering virtual support with fantastic technology that allows us to hold mass online that can be viewed in your home. Daily mass is available at the homepage of our website,, by 10:45 am each day. The experience of Fr. Ryan and I saying mass to an empty church brings feelings of sadness, missing, and angst. But we are committed, now more than ever, to ensuring that you are in touch with our Lord. We all need Him right now and St. James will not forsake you.

With that in mind please do not forget St. James. Offertory collections are vital even if we cannot be physically together in church. Until further notice offertory donations may be received by St. James in three ways:

  • Via Faith Direct: Simply go to to set up weekly offerings.
  • Via US Mail: Mail your offering to St. James Parish, 820 N. Arlington Heights Road,
  • Arlington Heights, IL 60004. ➢ Drop Off: The Parish Office is open between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Friday. While our office staff is minimal at this time, you will be greeted between these hours.

The church and Adoration Chapel will remain open for silent, individual prayer. All ministry and parish events, school, and religious education classes are cancelled and will resume when we have been cleared to do so. Please contact the office by phone (224-345-7200) if you have Anointing of the Sick or funeral needs as those will be handled on a case by case basis.

My sincere thanks for your continued support of St. James. God will help us get through this rough patch. My prayers are with you and your families.

Your Servant in Christ,

Fr. Matt
