Julie has been cantoring masses and singing with the St. James 10 am choir for the past 13 years but has been a parishioner since her parents, Jim & Kathy Davy, moved to Arlington Heights in 1977.  A cradle Catholic, Julie is a St. James Bulldog (Class of 1988) and attended Hersey High School before heading to Bradley University and receiving her double BA in Spanish and Communications.  She has worked in the Development Office at the Lyric Opera, and for the past 8 years in the finance department at Sprout Social, Inc. in Chicago. She routinely is seen performing with her family in summer productions with St. James Theater but in recent years she has produced and directed musicals for St. James Middle School (The Lion King, Jr. and Mary Poppins, Jr.), and in 2018 she produced the St. James summer musical hit Ragtime.  Julie and her husband of 16-years, Josh, (fun fact—they met in Vegas and married at St. James) are raising three sons who have all attended St. James School.  Regarding her new role in Development she says, “I am humbled and incredibly thankful to have been raised in this faith community and for being given this wonderful opportunity to serve my parish. The mission before me is to ensure St. James continues to thrive for many tomorrows, and to share with others the blessings I have been given.”
