Born in Northern Wisconsin, my childhood years were spent in transitions, moving around Wisconsin, then to Minnesota, to Texas and finally to Illinois. I attended Wheaton Central High School, then the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign where I met my husband, Brian. I graduated from U of I with a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and then enjoyed a 10-year career at Hewitt Associates in benefits administration.
Brian and I were married in 1997 and we have four children. While it was a tough decision to leave my career, I feel very blessed with the opportunity to stay home to shape and encourage our children’s religious, educational, and extracurricular experiences. I have been a catechist at St. James since 2011, with earlier experience as a Sunday school teacher for 3 years. Other volunteer experiences include Co-PTA President for Olive-Mary Stitt School, where I helped create and manage Olive’s Camp Fit program. I attend a Bible study group which has strengthened my biblical knowledge and my relationship to God.
