I began on staff at St. James part-time as Children’s Ministry Coordinator in 2017 and this position quickly turned into full-time. I worked under the Co-Directors of Religious Education to help support all Children’s Catechesis programs along with inclusion of individuals within the ministries. January of 2019, I took on the position of Hospitality and Engagement. My new efforts will focus on helping to prepare for the move into the newly renovated church while remaining true to the spirit of Open Our Hearts in Welcome. I am excited to work with staff and lay leaders to develop training and processes along with, creating and maintaining communications that support hospitality at St. James consistent with our parish mission and vision. There will also be focus on engagement of current parish members as well as seeking new members. This pairs well with my professional background of 12+ years in Hospitality Management with the Four Seasons Hotel Chain in both Front Office Management, as well as, Training and Development. I look forward to the opportunity to meet even more of St. James members as they share their time and talents in service to our community.
My husband, Steve, and I met, as undergraduates, at DePaul University and have been married since 1998. We have two children, Sarah and Nate plus a very active dog, Callie. St. James has become my home and I have been active in many different aspects of our faith community. Our parish is diverse, talented and vibrant. I have enjoyed meeting many individuals and families as we actively share our faith with one another.
