Tell us about yourself:
I’ve been a parishioner at St. James my entire life. My two brothers are also active members of the parish, and all three of us graduated from St. James Grade School. I was part of the first class to graduate in the Parish Center—an experience that deepened my connection to this faith community. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to serve St. James in a variety of roles. I currently serve as co-chair of the Parish Pastoral Council, and I’m active as both a Eucharistic Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC) and a lector. I’m a member of the enKindle formation team, VIRTUS Site Administrator, and I’ve helped lead the parish play—producing it for eight years starting in 1999 and co-producing again in 2025. I also facilitate the scheduling of lectors and altar servers, and volunteer with PADS, serving those experiencing homelessness.
In June of 2025, I was honored to be personally asked by Fr. Ed to serve as his Administrative Assistant, a role that has allowed me to support our parish leadership more directly and deepen my commitment to our mission.
When did you start serving at St. James?
I officially began working at St. James on November 10, 2023, after being invited to apply by a certain music director who recognized my deep involvement in parish life.
Why are you passionate about serving at St. James?
Growing up Catholic, one of the first things people would ask is, “What parish are you from?” Your parish was part of your identity. For me, St. James isn’t just where I worship—it’s home. The relationships, the history, and the mission of this community have shaped who I am. Serving here is a natural way for me to give back to a place that has been at the heart of my life and faith journey.
