A donor-advised fund (DAF) is often administered by a financial services company or a community foundation. It allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to easily support St. James Parish.
You can use your DAF to make a one-time gift, or to create a recurring monthly or quarterly gift for even more impact. While you cannot fulfill legally binding pledges with a donor-advised fund, you are able to attach a special purpose to your grants.
If you chose to support Vibrant Generations with a DAF, please contact your fund administrator to request a distribution form or access the distribution form on your administrator’s website.
Please follow the instructions below when completing the distribution form:
1. Please use the Archdiocese of Chicago’s legal name and federal tax ID
Legal Name: The Catholic Bishop of Chicago
Address: 835 North Rush Street, Chicago, IL 60611
Federal Tax ID Number: 36-2170826
2. Make the check payable to: The Catholic Bishop of Chicago
3. Instruct your fund administrator to include the following information on the memo line or check stub:
Generation to Generation,
your name and address, and
parish name.
Instruct your fund administrator to send the check to:
Archdiocese of Chicago
Stewardship & Development
835 North Rush Street
Chicago, IL 60611
Kindly let the archdiocese’s office know to expect your gift. Please call 312.534.8500 or email [email protected] to let them know the amount of your gift, parish designation and the issuing entity. This information helps ensure your gift is properly allocated and that St. James is properly credited for your generosity. If you are trying to submit your DAF grant in the current tax year, it is best to submit your request prior to December 1.
