Bethany Larson

Coordinator of Religious Education

Tell us about yourself:

I am a long-time parishioner of St. James and deeply invested in our parish community, especially Religious Education.  I grew up in Arlington Heights and attended St. James School & St. Viator High School where I met my husband, Matt.  After college, I started my career as a middle school math teacher.  We were shortly blessed with four amazing children: Kennedy, Matthew, MayBelle, and Daniel.  It is a joy to raise our children in the same community where we grew up. I love to travel, camp, play music, read, cook outside, host parties, and just be with friends and family.  I am overjoyed to serve the St. James community.

When did you start serving at St. James?

Coordinator of Religious Education starting in 2022.  Catechist since 2010.  Parishioner since 1985.

Why are you passionate about serving at St. James?

It’s home.  Our faith is central to our family life, and St. James offers such a vibrant community of people who love Christ.  It’s a great place to be and feel welcome.  Serving as St. James is a blessing and a calling to serve our Lord and His people.
