Tell us about yourself:
My name is Monica, and I am a Chicagoland native, growing up in LaGrange but moving around the suburbs in adulthood. My large Polish family gave me a childhood full of cousin sleepovers, treasured Godmother breakfasts, and yardwork veiled as a fun game. After considering Holy Orders I discerned a path in teaching our littlest hearts. I taught multilingual elementary education and worked in curriculum development for 15 years. My pup Nelly, godchildren of my own, and baking side gig keep me busy and joyful!
When did you start serving at St. James?
I am thrilled to join the parish and begin serving the St. James community this year in 2026.
Why are you passionate about serving at St. James?
We are called to live our faith and relationship with Christ as a community, as a family. The roles we each serve in our families are crucial to those we love. These roles, especially those of parents and godparents, are a huge ask! I am grateful to offer support and guidance in partnership with St. James families to ensure meaningful stewardship of Catholic family life.
