Night in Bethlehem

St. James Children’s Formation invites ALL children from our parish, grades k-5, and their families to come and explore Bethlehem on the night Jesus was born.  Come and be counted, as you walk through the Bethlehem marketplace and learn about the most important baby ever.  You will make your way through stations, creating crafts and learning about the people and trades of the time.

Expect to spend approximately 45 minutes to explore all of Bethlehem, though you are welcome to take as much or as little time as you need. Please pre-register for the event here. The night begins as you are checked in and counted at the census table just as Mary and Joseph came to be counted. We look forward to seeing you as we spend A Night in Bethlehem!

Adult and teen volunteers are needed to help as scribes, carpenters, weavers, potters, spice sellers, and actors portraying Mary/Joseph/Innkeeper.  We will also need help setting up and taking down the decorations.  Please consider volunteering for this fun and engaging evening to focus on waiting for the arrival of Jesus.
